NFL Free Agency 2021: Ranking the top 5 landing spots for AJ Green

AJ Green is an extremely interesting free agent following the 2020 season. In 2015, Green signed a four-year, $60 million contract extension with the Cincinnati Bengals. In 2020, he will play under the franchise tag earning $18.1 million from the team that drafted him No. 4 overall in 2011.

Since entering the league, Green has been one of the top receives in the league. He was a Pro Bowler over the first seven years of his career. During that time, Green eclipsed 1,000 yards six times. In 2016, Green played just 10 games and finished with 964 yards. Over the last couple years, the 32-year old Green has dealt with some injuries.

Green missed the entire 2019 season after suffering an injury during training camp. He played just nine games in 2018 and 10 in 2016. When Green hits the open market, there will be teams in a bidding war despite the injury history. There are plenty of teams that would benefit from having a veteran receiver in their offense.

The Cincinnati Bengals will have the service of Green for one more season. He will help rookie Joe Burrow develop in 2020 before hitting free agency. If the Bengals do not bring him back, here are five teams that should have an eye on Green.
