Offense is What the Dolphins Need

On paper, the Dolphins spent a lot of money and should be pretty set on defense. During the offseason, they signed cornerbacks Byron Jones (5 years, $82.5 million) and Xavien Howard (five-years, $76.5 million) to huge deals.

They also signed LB Kyle Van Noy to a four-year, $51 million deal, DE Emmanuel Ogbah to a two-year, $15 million deal, and DE Shaq Lawson to a three-year, $30 million deal. They also signed Kamu Grugier-Hill, Elandon Roberts and Adrian Colbert as well. That is a huge overhaul/load up on defense and should be impressive for the next few years.

In the 2020 NFL Draft, Miami also picked up CB Noah Igbinoghene in the first round, DT Raekwon Davis in the second round, S Brandon Jones in the third round, and two more defensive players in the fifth-round, DE Jason Strowbridge and OLB Curtis Weaver.

The Dolphins did draft the offensive linemen and a wide receiver in the draft, but that was most likely to play and learn with Tua Tagovailoa for the future. Adding Aaron Jones would help fill another major piece of their offense for years to come.
