NFL Free Agency 2021: 4 teams who should pursue Alvin Kamara

The New Orleans Saints drafted a running back out of Tennessee with the 67th overall pick in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Alvin Kamara quickly turned into one of the most dynamic running backs in the league. He is entering the final year of a four-year, $3.85 million rookie contract. When he enters free agency in 2021, Kamara will be one of the biggest names on the market.

Kamara played in all 16 games as a rookie and was half of a dynamic duo along with Mark Ingram. He rushed for 728 yards and led the league with 6.1 yards per attempt. In 2018, Kamara made 13 starts. He rushed for 883 yards and 14 touchdowns. Kamara missed some time in 2019 but was still able to play 14 games and make nine starts.

The Saints knew how to utilize Kamara to get the most from him. He finished with exactly 81 catches in each of his first three seasons. Kamara has totaled at least 200 touches and 1,300 yards from scrimmage in every season since entering the league. He is one of the top duel-threat running backs in the league and that would be the case on any team.

When the 2020 season is over, Kamara will be in line for a big time contract. There are many teams that would be a perfect fit and could use Kamara to take their offense to the next level. Here are four teams that should consider signing Kamara when he hits the open market.
