Tom Brady
Predicted team in 2020: New England Patriots
Last but not least, Brady is going to have arguably the most anticipated free-agent decision in NFL history. Throughout his career, when his contract was nearing expiration, he would sign an extension with the Patriots without any hesitation.
However, this time around, the 42-year-old quarterback is itching to see what it’s like in free agency. Despite turning 43-years-old this year, there are going to be teams willing to offer Brady a lucrative contract in free agency.
The future first-ballot Hall of Famer is coming off of a season where he recorded just 4,057 yards, 24 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. His 24 touchdown passes were the lowest of his career since 2003.
Even though his numbers weren’t up to his standards, it was obvious that a huge reason for that was the lack of weapons around him. If Brady were to return in free agency, the Patriots would undoubtedly add more help in the aerial attack. At the same time, it’s almost unimaginable to see Brady play in a different uniform.
Again, there are going to be teams attempting to convince Brady to leave New England. But Bill Belichick will arrive to free agency, playing “Baby Come Back” from his boombox, causing everyone in the AFC East to realize that they will have to wait a bit longer for the division crown.
