Kareem Hunt
Predicted team in 2020: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Kareem Hunt was once ascending as one of the best young running backs in the NFL with the Kansas City Chiefs. In his rookie campaign in 2017, Hunt rushed for 1,327 yards and eight touchdowns for the Chiefs.
Then, while he was on his way to another productive season in 2018, Hunt was released by Kansas City when a video of him kicking a woman surfaced on the internet. As a result, Hunt was left looking for a team that could help him continue his NFL career.
Despite his questionable mistake, the Cleveland Browns took a chance on Hunt before the 2019 season. Even though he was suspended for eight games, Hunt still flashed his playmaking ability with the Browns in 2019. Over the course of his eight games in Cleveland, Hunt totaled 464 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns.
While Hunt is a restricted free agent, any team could offer him a contract in free agency. That means that if a team were to offer Hunt a contract, the Browns could match. One team that could express interest in Hunt is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Without question, there aren’t many more coaches that are as aggressive as Bruce Arians, and the Buccaneers are in need of a spark in the offense. Also, with Ronald Jones being inconsistent, Arians would welcome the idea of having a running back that he can trust — at least on the field.
