Predicted team in 2020: Arizona Cardinals

Amid the fire sale that the Miami Dolphins had in 2019, Kenyan Drake saw himself freed from captivity. The dual-threat running back was supplanted by Kalen Ballage, prompting him to seek out a trade midway through the season.

Ahead of the trade deadline, Drake was sent to the Arizona Cardinals to become a featured back in Kliff Kingsbury’s offense. From the moment he arrived in Arizona, it was evident that he was a perfect match for the Cardinals.

In just eight games with the Cardinals, Drake rushed for 643 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground. As a receiving threat, the Alabama product corraled 28 passes for 171 yards.

The uncertainty surrounding David Johnson and his future with the Cardinals has been well-documented. Instead of taking a chance on Johnson returning to his dominant form, it’s hard to believe that the Cardinals wouldn’t re-sign Drake. Besides being an ideal fit in the offense, Drake is also only 26-years-old.
