More and more teams in the NFL are beginning to have a vast majority of their offensive plays feature three wide receivers on the field. Provided that, teams are going to be scrambling to sign some of the notable names at wide receiver in free agency.
Last offseason, guys like Julio Jones and Michael Thomas reset the market for premier receivers. Both Jones and Thomas were able to secure deals with their respective teams that were worth $20 million or more annually.
While there isn’t a Jones or Thomas available in free agency, Amari Cooper is a candidate to become one of the highest-paid receivers in the NFL this offseason. Along with Cooper, A.J. Green could be a coveted option if he even reaches free agency.
There are quite a few teams that are in need of wide receivers and have an ample amount of cap space to make a move for one of the names mentioned in this article.
