The Buffalo Bills have some high expectations coming into the 2022 season. After falling to the Kansas City Chiefs in each of the last two postseasons, they are looking to get over the hump this year.
In the 2021 postseason, the Bills lost in the AFC Championship game 38-24 at Arrowhead Stadium. In the 2022 postseason, Buffalo lost an overtime thriller, once again at Arrowhead Stadium, in overtime 42-36 in the divisional round. It was one of the best football games in recent memory as Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes dueled to the final whistle.
This year, Buffalo has its eyes on winning home-field advantage, which could give them the edge if they were to face off with Kansas City again in the postseason. A trilogy is exactly what Peter King predicts is going to happen in his Football Morning In American column.
King made predictions for the upcoming season and he believes that the Bills are going to win the AFC East, finishing in first place in the conference as well. What will give them the edge, in King’s opinion, is that they will go undefeated against their division foes the Miami Dolphins, New England Patriots and New York Jets.
That will be enough to give the Bills a record of 13-4 in the regular season, finishing two games clear of the second-place Baltimore Ravens, who are predicted to go 11-6. The rematch with the Chiefs will come in the Divisional Round, which King has the Bills winning and advancing.
After that, they will face off against the Los Angeles Chargers for a trip to the Super Bowl. King has Buffalo winning that as well, facing off against the Green Bay Packers. Allen and the Bills will finish off their quest, taking home the Lombardi Trophy in the opinion of King.
He is far from the only person that believes Buffalo will be title town following this season. The Bills are currently the betting favorites to win the title as they have some added motivation from what has occurred in the last few years.
