NFL: One glaring weakness for each team in the NFC West entering 2020

The NFC West has proven to be one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL in recent seasons. Since the 2014 campaign, the team representing the NFC in the Super Bowl has come out of the NFC West four times.

Just a season ago, the San Francisco 49ers stood atop the division with an impressive 13-3 record, securing the No. 1 seed in the NFC. While the 49ers would advance to the Super Bowl, they would fall victim to the Kansas City Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes, 31-20.

Behind the 49ers, the Seattle Seahawks finished with an 11-5 record and would be eliminated in the NFC Divisional Round by the Green Bay Packers. As for the Los Angeles Rams, just a year after taking part in the Super Bowl, Sean McVay’s squad would fail to make the playoffs for the first time under McVay.

Lastly, the Arizona Cardinals had an eventful offseason after concluding the 2019 season with a 5-10-1 record. Of course, one of the most shocking moves of the offseason came when DeAndre Hopkins was traded to the Cardinals, giving Kyler Murray another viable option in the passing game.

Even though each team in the NFC West could be in contention to win the division, each team has room for growth on a portion of their roster.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at the one glaring weakness that each team in the NFC West possesses entering the 2020 season.
