Cleveland Browns
There will need to be a lot that improves for the Cleveland Browns to turn things around in 2020. The team put together an underachieving season after many considered them as being a team ready to take the next step.
The linebacker position certainly being on the list of things to watch. With Christian Kirksey departing in free agency to sign with the Green Bay Packers, there are some questions surrounding this spot. The injury to Mack Wilson recently prompted the Browns to sign Malcolm Smith.
Between free agent pickup B.J. Goodson and 2020 NFL Draft selection Jacob Phillips, the Browns did previously add some new names into the mix to compete for playing time. Along with them will be Sione Takitaki, who was drafted in 2019.
On top of the Browns’ having a legitimate competition to sort out the linebacker position, they could use a third safety to play in a hybrid role at times. It is expected to be a fluid overall situation and is something to keep an eye on entering the 2020 season.
