The Minnesota Vikings had an incredible first night of the NFL Draft. They were able to get their wide receiver in Justin Jefferson at No. 22. After trading back in to the first round, they landed the corner that many thought they would take with their first pick. Jeff Gladney became a Viking with the 31st overall pick.

There is no way that their luck could spill over into day two right? Well it did. Sitting near the bottom of the second round, Minnesota watched as Cleveland fell into their laps at No. 58. The Boise State product was one of the top rated offensive lineman and the Vikings were able to add another piece to their line.

Minnesota has struggled with issues on the offensive line for years now. They used their first round pick in 2019 on Garrett Bradbury. Now, it is Cleveland’s turn to join the line. The Vikings came into the draft with three major needs and they were able to address all of them with their first three picks.

The Vikings just gave Kirk Cousins a three-year extension. Their Super Bowl window is open and it just became wider after their performance in the draft.
