NFL: One second-year player to watch from each team in the AFC South

Houston Texans — Tytus Howard

Before the 2019 NFL season, the Texans failed to keep Watson upright, allowing him to be sacked a league-high 62 times in 2018. Even in his rookie season in 2017, where he started in only six games, Watson was sacked 19 times.

Prior to acquiring Laremy Tunsil via trade from the Miami Dolphins, Houston attempted to bolster their offensive line by taking Tytus Howard with the No. 23 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Howard would be inserted at right tackle, starting in eight games a rookie.

In those eight games, Howard surrendered two sacks on 488 offensive snaps. The first-round pick out of Alabama State would end his rookie season on injured reserve. Following an injury-laden rookie campaign, all eyes will be on Howard to prove why he was a first-round pick in 2019.
