Philadelphia Eagles — Miles Sanders

Entering the 2019 NFL season, the Eagles were expecting to deploy Jordan Howard as their starting running back. At the same time, they wanted to have rookie Miles Sanders serve as the change-of-pace option behind Howard.

On the contrary, due to an injury to Howard, Sanders would earn the starting job early in the season and he wouldn’t look back. The second-round selection out of Penn State would conclude his rookie campaign with 1,327 scrimmage yards and six touchdowns despite sharing touches with other running backs.

But with Howard no longer in the mix, Sanders is poised for a heavier workload in Philadelphia’s offense next season. As a result, Sanders could prove to everyone that he has the makings of being one of the premier talents at the running back position.
