NFL: One second-year player to watch from each team in the NFC South

Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Devin White

The Buccaneers have employed one of the best linebackers in the NFL in Lavonte David since taking him in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft. After years of not having an elite running mate, David could finally have one in Devin White.

White was taken by Tampa Bay with the No. 5 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft out of LSU. The athletic linebacker would start in all 13 games he suited up in a season ago, notching 91 combined tackles, 2.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and two touchdowns.

On top of that, White would display remarkable coverage skills (similar to what he did at LSU), accounting for three pass breakups and an interception. If White is able to continue building upon his stellar rookie campaign, he could form the No. 1 linebacker duo in the NFL in the near future.
