Washington Redskins: Larry Warford III, G

The Redskins divorce from Trent Williams was long and ugly. They eventually traded him to the San Francisco 49ers during the 2020 NFL Draft before drafting LSU product Saahdiq Charles. The Redskins offensive line used to be a strong suit, but that has changed over the years.

With a young quarterback like Dwayne Haskins under center, it is important to keep him healthy. Donald Penn handled the left tackle duties in 2019 but he is currently a free agent. This leaves a hole in their line that Warford could fix.

The Redskins pride themselves throughout history on running the ball behind massive offensive lineman. They would like to get back to that style with Derrius Guice, but they need the personnel. Warford would give them a lineman with a huge upside. He was released by the New Orleans Saints and is still available in NFL free agency.

It is surprising that Warford is still on the market but that could work in the Redskins’ favor. If this goes on for a few weeks, it would behoove the Redskins to take a chance on Warford before camp.
