Trade Package: Las Vegas Raiders trade their 2021 and 2022 second-round picks to Jacksonville Jaguars for Yannick Ngakoue

The Las Vegas Raiders have two very young pass rushers on their roster. Maxx Crosby was a great pick in the fourth-round last season. Clelin Ferrell has a lot of room for growth but had flashes of greatness last year. However, having two good pass rushers in today’s league is not enough.

The best defenses have a solid rotation of pass rushers. Adding Pro Bowl defensive end Yannick Ngakoue would be perfect for Las Vegas, especially because the AFC West has so many good young quarterbacks.

For Jacksonville, Ngakoue will not be playing for them at any point in the future. Keeping him on their roster is just delaying the inevitable. While Jacksonville likely wanted a first-round pick for Ngakoue, it seems that teams are not valuing him that highly.

Getting two consecutive years of second-round picks would be the best they can ask for. With those picks, Jacksonville can continue adding draft capital. Jacksonville has a lot of early-round draft picks at their disposal. If they can capitalize on these picks, they have a very bright future.

Las Vegas has been building for a while now, and the draft picks from last season played well. They have a bright future ahead of them. Adding another star pass rusher and creating a top tier three-man rotation may be just what this team needs to make a playoff run.

Ngakoue fits the Raiders very well. He is quick off the edge and is a strip-sack specialist. Making this trade for Ngakoue is an aggressive deal that shows Las Vegas is ready to compete. Yannick would add a lot to the silver and black, and could be a cornerstone for this defense.
