NFL: One trade each team in the NFC North should pursue before the season

The fight for supremacy in the NFC North will be a hard-fought battle. While the Green Bay Packers and Minnesota Vikings are the favorites, the Chicago Bears are looking to prove they belong in the conversation. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions are still looking for an identity.

The Lions are moving towards a more run-first approach after selecting D’Andre Swift early in the second round as a compliment to Kerryon Johnson. Will they beef up their offensive line, add depth on defense, or invest in their future?

The Packers are coming off a strong campaign last season. They fell short of greatness, losing to the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game. Green Bay went with a QB in the draft and did little to help Aaron Rodgers offensively this offseason. Could the Packers make a trade and bring a playmaker to help Rodgers that could compliment Devante Adams?

The Vikings were very impressive last season. However, Minnesota lost a few key players during the offseason and will have to make some important decisions next offseason. Many key pieces could opt to test the free-agent market. It is time to decide if they’re going to push for a championship now or wait and see what they can do with their current roster.

The Bears are a team teetering between good and average. It is without question they have a fantastic defense. However, the offense has issues putting points on the board. Will they add someone to help elevate the level of the offense of play or will they start to rebuild again? All of these questions will be answered shortly.

With that being said, let’s take a look at one trade I believe each team in the NFC North should pursue before the season starts.
