New Orleans Saints

The Saints tried to trade Larry Warford. This did not work out and he was eventually released by the team. This could be a similar fate for Nick Easton heading into the 2020 season.

Easton signed a four-year, $23 million deal with the Saints last offseason. At some point during the year, New Orleans replaced him with rookie Erik McCoy on the offensive line. McCoy was a second-round draft pick of the Saints.

Easton is a piece that adds depth but he carries close to a $6 million cap hit. This is a high price tag for a backup player, especially for a team that could use the extra cap space.

New Orleans has had Super Bowl aspirations for a few years now. The 2020 season will be no different for the reigning NFC South champions. Trading Easton could get them a return and free up some space they could use to add another player.
