Jarrett Stidham, New England Patriots
The 2020 season will mark the second-year of Jarrett Stidham’s NFL career and he will be tasked with filling the void left behind by Tom Brady’s departure to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It will be one of the more intriguing storylines to follow around the league.
The level of game-experience Stidham has in the NFL is minimal. He appeared in three games as a rookie and attempted a total of four passes. Being able to go through the daily process behind Brady will help, but nothing beats live game play.
It will help Stidham to play with a head coach as effective as Bill Belichick and it certainly doesn’t hurt to have Julian Edelman and Mohamed Sanu to throw to either. However, there are some questions about New England’s other receiving options.
Perhaps the most critical factor will be the ability for second-year receiver N’Keal Harry to stay healthy and make an immediate impact for the Patriots. If he can, then Stidham should have what he needs to work with.
Prediction for Jarrett Stidham in 2020: 3,480 passing yards, 19 passing touchdowns, and 8 interceptions.
