Derek Carr, Las Vegas Raiders
The Las Vegas Raiders are sticking with Derek Carr as their starting quarterback for at least the 2020 season. Regardless, it feels like he has become one of the more mentioned names at his position in offseason rumors, so a big season will be needed.
The pieces around Carr are there and he will need to raise his game, there’s no way around. With Darren Waller emerging as a high-level tight end and Josh Jacobs in the backfield, adding Henry Ruggs III into the mix should be enough.
The dimension Ruggs III will be able to add to the Raiders’ offense should not go understated. There is significant value in having a deep-threat that can also make big plays in the open-field, especially when there is already an effective running back and tight end to have to worry about.
The Raiders also possess reliable supporting cast receivers like Hunter Renfrow and Tyrell Williams that will be able to face more favorable matchups now with Ruggs III. That should help Carr to take more aggressive shots downfield in 2020.
2020 Prediction for Derek Carr: 4,150 passing yards, 24 passing touchdowns, and 9 interceptions.
