NFL: Predicting the 2020 stats for each QB in the NFC South

Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons

It has become a routine for Matt Ryan to put up strong individual numbers, even if it doesn’t always result in lots of wins for the Atlanta Falcons. The upcoming season should be no exception to that trend.

Not having a reliable running game hurt the Falcons’ offense as a whole last season but there’s reason for optimism with Todd Gurley now in the mix. If he can have a resurgent season, opposing teams will fear play-action significantly.

Something to consider, the Falcons already have Julio Jones setting the tone at wide receiver and could end up having Calvin Ridley experiencing a breakout season entering his third year in the NFL. That would help to mitigate the departure of Austin Hooper.

There is real potential for the Falcons to have quite an intriguing overall offensive attack in 2020 if a few factors go their way. When factoring in Ryan has produced some truly dynamic seasons of his own, it’s not that risky of a bet.

2020 Predictions for Matt Ryan: 4,390 yards, 29 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.
