Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams
There are no shortage of talented quarterbacks in the NFL and it doesn’t take long for one to fall in the rankings at this position. That is precisely what happened with Los Angeles Rams’ Jared Goff as he went from ‘rising’ in 2018 to showing real regression last season.
It’s not a coincidence Goff’s decline in production occurred while Todd Gurley went from being on the NFL’s best players in 2018 to having a significantly reduced role last season. Simply put, there was strong reliance playing off an elite quarterback.
The running back situation the Rams currently face heading into the upcoming season comes with uncertainty without Gurley in his prime, let alone even being on the roster. The projected starter is Darrell Henderson.
The 2020 season will be Goff’s chance to show that he doesn’t need to have an incredible running back talent to be one of the more productive quarterbacks in the league. Failing to do so would only further doubt about his abilities.
2020 Predictions for Jared Goff: 4,325 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.
