Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks

On the shortlist of legitimate MVP candidates from 2019, Russell Wilson’s name certainly belongs on it. There should be little reason to expect otherwise from the Seattle Seahawks’ franchise-quarterback during the upcoming season.

There are still some questions about the Seahawks’ offensive line but that has been the case for quite some time. Regardless, the ability Wilson has to be able to operate outside of the pocket and to escape sacks will help mitigate those concerns.

The main factor that will help Wilson will be if D.K. Metcalf will manage to make further progress in his development heading into his sophomore season. Paired with Tyler Lockett, they could have an impressive wide receiver duo.

The Seahawks didn’t make major changes to its offense but did add some helpful veterans. They managed to add tight end Greg Olsen and running back Carlos Hyde along with wide receiver Phillip Dorsett II.

2020 Predictions for Russell Wilson: 4,125 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions.

Bonus: 350 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.
