NFL: Predicting the 2020 stats for each starting RB in the NFC South

Todd Gurley, Atlanta Falcons

Todd Gurley is returning to Georgia where he played in college. This homecoming story might be the perfect solution for him who struggled last season. While he is only 25-years-old, it seems like people are counting Gurley out because of injury concerns.

Gurley has arthritis in his left knee and posted career-low numbers basically across the board for the Los Angeles Rams in 2019, which is a story line to watch this season.

What likely went wrong for Gurley is that the Rams offensive line was depleted. Because of this, it was hard for Gurley to find rushing lanes. The Falcons have a young offensive line that is going to be even better after a full year of NFL experience.

One thing Gurley has earned a living off of is finding the end-zone. He only has one year where he was held under 10 rushing touchdowns since entering the NFL. If his knee holds up for the entirety of the season, the 2020 season should be a considerable bounce-back year for him.

2020 Prediction for Todd Gurley: 1,250 rushing yards, 500 receiving yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, and two receiving touchdowns.
