Joe Burrow, Cincinnati Bengals
It’s tough to put a player as talented as Joe Burrow last in any sort of ranking, but for the 2020 season, his production could be. The rest of the division’s quarterbacks are already acclimated to the NFL level and have strong talent around them.
During his final season at LSU, Burrow managed to produce genuinely historic results en route to winning the College Football Playoff National Championship. He totaled 5,671 passing yards, 60 touchdowns, and just 6 interceptions in 15 games, making the Bengals’ choice at No. 1 overall easy.
There are some intriguing talents that Burrow will have to work with in the Bengals’ offense right away. Between Joe Mixon and Tyler Boyd coming off strong 2019 campaigns, they will also have A.J. Green coming off injury and Tee Higgins from the 2020 NFL Draft.
It’s very likely that Burrow manages to rise up the rankings list after the 2020 season. His potential is sky-high and while he is older than most rookie quarterbacks, and even Lamar Jackson, there could be an adjustment period that comes with the NFL level.
