Christian McCaffrey, Carolina Panthers

Last season was incredible for Christian McCaffrey, posting over 1,000 yards rushing and receiving. While that feat may be hard to repeat, expect him to be just as dominant. He is everything the Carolina Panthers thought he could be, and then some.

When drafted, some thought he was too small to serve as a feature back. In response, McCaffrey added a few lbs of muscle last offseason. He finished with over 280 carries and 116 receptions, clearly, he can handle plenty of touches.

While his receiving ability is special, and should not be swept away as a convenient addition, McCaffrey is a workhorse back as well. He can run up the got, bounce to the outside, run through arm tackles, and juke defenders out with ease. A few backs like LaDanian Tomlinson and Marshall Faulk come to mind when thinking of McCaffrey.

The Panthers know exactly what they have in McCaffrey as well. This offseason he signed a massive contract extension making him the highest-paid back in the NFL. It is well deserved, and for a player so young the scary thing is still improving his game. Next season Christian McCaffrey if the Panthers are successful, McCaffrey may be in the MVP discussion.
