3. Russell Wilson
For years, Russell Wilson has been one of the elite quarterbacks in the NFL despite the Seattle Seahawks doing a mediocre job of surrounding him with a solid foundation — especially on the offensive line. Somehow, even with the amazing seasons he has had with the Seahawks, Wilson hasn’t earned a single first-team All-Pro nod.
At the same time, he hasn’t won the NFL’s MVP Award in his first eight seasons in the NFL. Although that may be true, that shouldn’t take away from how special Wilson has been for Seattle since being taken in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft.
While the Seahawks fell short of advancing beyond the NFC Divisional Round in 2019, Wilson concluded the year with 4,110 yards, 31 touchdowns, and a career-low five interceptions. Entering his second year with a duo of Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf, Wilson should have a chance to secure his first MVP trophy in 2020.
