1. Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions have finished in last place in the NFC North over the last two years. They are a combined 9-22-1 over that stretch. The defense has been a huge problem along with Matt Patricia as head coach. What has not been an issue is their wide receivers.

The Lions land first on this list and for good reason. Marvin Jones Jr. and Kenny Golladay have turned into a dynamic duo on the outside. Jones Jr. has scored 27 touchdowns in four years with the. Lions. He has missed 10 games over the last two years but has still been productive.

Golladay has gone for 1,000 or more yards in each of the last two years. In 2019, he had a breakout season with 1,190 yards and 11 touchdowns. Golladay averaged 18.3 yards per reception last season and is averaging 16.7 for his career.

The list continues with veteran slot receiver Danny Amendola. He payed 15 games with the Lions last season and finished with 62 catches. The Lions’ offense also has a pair of first round picks over the last two drafts that they expect to succeed. Tight end T.J. Hockenson and running back D.Andre Swift will be big pieces to this offense.

The most important factor of course is Stafford. If he can stay healthy, the Lions’ offense will be dangerous. Detroit has a chance to finish in third place this season. They will be fighting for that spot with Chicago. The Lions are not at the level of the Vikings or Packers, but the future could be bright with this young offense led by their talented group of receivers.
