NFL Reporter Thinks Cowboys, Seahawks Could Talk Trade

The Dallas Cowboys are going to have some difficult decisions to make in the coming weeks. With cut-down days right around the corner, the team is going to have to move on from some players that in a perfect world, they would be able to keep.

That is one of the downsides to putting together a roster as strong as the Cowboys look to have. They are going to have to move on from some good players one way or another. ESPN analyst Dan Graziano has suggested that a trade could be on the horizon for the team, with the Seattle Seahawks being the perfect partner.

“Dallas looks pretty loaded on defense, particularly up front,” Graziano detailed on August 7, 2023. “And while it’s great to have depth, the Cowboys could have some tough choices on the defensive front come roster cut-down day. Don’t be surprised if teams (Seattle?) looking for defensive line depth come calling to see if Dallas wants to trade someone away rather than cut them.”

The Cowboys have built some excellent depth on their defensive front in recent years. Neville Gallimore, Chauncey Golston and Dorance Armstrong Jr. are three players to watch should Dallas actually look to make a trade.

Armstrong is someone that has been mentioned as a potential trade candidate already. With Micah Parsons transitioning to a pass-rushing role full-time, the team has a surplus of options on the edge.

DeMarcus Lawrence, Dante Fowler Jr., Sam Williams and Viliami Fehoko Jr. are all on the depth chart in addition to Parsons. If the Cowboys want to see what the younger guys have, Armstrong is very likely going to be the odd man out of the mix.

Out of the three potential trade candidates, he would assuredly receive the most value on the trade market. Teams are always looking for pass rushers and coming off a career-high 8.5 sacks last season, Armstrong is someone that has earned a more prominent role on the field.
