NFL Scout Reveals Major Bold Prediction For Eagles In Week 5

Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles are 4-0. They are one of only two undefeated teams left in the NFL. They are in first place in the NFC East. They are the defending conference champions.

All of that, and yet, things don’t seem quite right with the Eagles at the moment.

Philadelphia has had to eke out a few wins over clearly inferior teams over the first several weeks, beating the New England Patriots, Minnesota Vikings and Washington Commanders by a combined 14 points. Those three opponents have a combined record of 4-8. The club’s most lopsided win came in Week 3, when it topped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by a score of 25-11.

Additionally, Philly’s aerial attack ranks just 13th in the NFL, and its overall defense is right in the middle of the pack at 16th.

Those aren’t the types of numbers you would expect from a Super Bowl favorite, especially considering that the Eagles ranked in the top 10 in both of those categories a year ago.

However, an NFL scout tells the NFL Analysis Network that he fully expects Philadelphia to get back on track when it takes on the Los Angeles Rams this weekend.

“We’re going to see the Super Bowl contending Eagles this week,” said the scout. “They’ve been slow to start the season, but it’s all going to come together. I’m predicting a 35-17 blowout win for Philadelphia.”

The Rams themselves are 2-2 and have looked surprisingly decent through the first four weeks. This will also be a road game for the Eagles, so if they are able to come through with that type of win, they will certainly assuage a lot of the concerns that have risen over the first four weeks.

It’s also important for Philly to win these types of games, as its schedule will get much more difficult in the second half of the season.
