NFL Superstar Wants To See Aaron Rodgers Traded To Cowboys

Aaron Rodgers, Cowboys

Where Aaron Rodgers will play in 2023, should he not retire, has been a major topic of discussion in the sports world. There have been varying reports about if the Green Bay Packers even want him back for another season as they could be ready to see what Jordan Love has to offer as the starting quarterback.

If that is the route that the Packers choose to take, the trade market for Aaron Rodgers would be a pretty big one. There would certainly be some hurdles to overcome, such as his contract. Teams could also be wary as the Green Bay passing offense was not great last season with him at the helm

Not having Davante Adams and battling through multiple injuries certainly attributed to the underwhelming performance. Despite some struggles during the season, we are talking about a player who entered 2022 as the MVP in back-to-back seasons.

Plenty of franchises would be willing to take a chance that the 2020 and 2021 versions of Aaron Rodgers would return with a change of scenery. The New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders have been mentioned as possible landing spots and each brings some positives to the table.

The Jets look to be a quarterback away from truly being a force in the AFC. The Raiders have Adams and recreating their magic from Green Bay is enticing. However, there is one player that wants to see an even bigger move made.

During a recent appearance on the Let’s Go podcast on Mad Dog Sports Radio, future Hall of Famer Larry Fitzgerald made a suggestion about where he would like to see Aaron Rodgers traded. In his opinion, the Dallas Cowboys would make for the perfect landing spot.

Aaron Rodgers being traded to the Cowboys would certainly turn the NFL on its head. Reuniting with Mike McCarthy, who coached the Packers for the first 13 years of his career, would certainly be something. There would be a lot of ramifications from such a deal being made, such as Dak Prescott then hitting the trade block himself.

While the Cowboys could consider a change at quarterback, the chances of Aaron Rodgers coming to town are minuscule. There is almost a zero percent chance that Green Bay would trade him to one of the teams that they will be directly competing with for a playoff spot.

sIf the Packers do trade Rodgers, they would want to do everything in their power to make sure it is to an AFC team so they see him as little as possible. That likely takes the Cowboys out of the running, but Fitzgerald is correct when describing a move to Dallas as being a controversial one.
