NFL Writer Makes Bold Prediction For Packers’ QB Jordan Love

Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love took the NFL world by storm this past year, particularly during the second half of the season.

Love was in his first campaign as the Packers’ full-time starter, as the team traded Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets last spring.

It was an up-and-down start for Love, as he put together a few impressive performances to begin 2023 but then spiraled into a slump in the middle of the season.

However, over his last eight games, Love caught fire, throwing 18 touchdown passes and just one interception, leading Green Bay to a 6-2 record during that span.

What’s more, Love guided the Packers to a surprising playoff berth and piloted the team to an upset win over the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round. He totaled three touchdowns and no picks in the victory.

Love even took a lead into the fourth quarter against the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round the following week, but Green Bay ultimately lost the game.

On the season overall, Love threw for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns and 11 interceptions while completing 64.2 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 96.1.

It was a fantastic debut campaign for the 25-year-old, but Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox is expecting even bigger things from Love in 2024.

Knox listed Love among six players he thinks he can improve even more next season, and he is anticipating that Love will make his first Pro Bowl appearance and also contend for the MVP award.

He adds that another slow start is “highly unlikely” for the budding star.

Love, who played his collegiate football at Utah State, was selected by the Packers with the 26th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft.

He spent the first three years of his career as Rodgers’ backup, but the door was opened for him to start once Green Bay dealt Rodgers.

Now, Love will enter uncharted territory. Going into last season, he was the talented, unproven signal-caller who eventually led the Packers on a Cinderella run to the playoffs.

This time around, however, there are heavy expectations on Love and Green Bay, with some even dubbing them a Super Bowl dark horse in the NFC.

We’ll see how Jordan Love and Co. react to those expectations heading into next season.
