New York Jets
The team that’s been in the most need of a pass rusher for quite some time now as the Jets are the team that’s been shopping around the league for one. It’s been an uphill battle for the Jets ever since their talented group of defensive players has deteriorated.
- 2011 first-rounder, Muhammad Wilkerson is in Green Bay.
- 2012 first-rounder, Quinton Coples is out of the league after having underperformed.
- 2013 first-rounder, Sheldon Richardson is with the Vikings.
It’s unfortunate considering the team ranked sixth in the league in sacks in 2014. However, the past two seasons they’ve ranked in the bottom five in getting to the quarterback.
They’re projected to have the most cap space in 2019 and are looking to complete their rebuild with a big name at pass rusher.
The hard part is their lack of trade value to send over. They don’t have a second-round pick and aren’t likely to send away one of their defensive players.
Trade Scenario: 2019 first-round pick, 2019 fourth-round pick, and 2020 first-round pick for Khalil Mack
