Odds Show Chances Of Aaron Rodgers Returning To The Packers

Aaron Rodgers, Packers

The Green Bay Packers could look a lot different in 2022 than they did in 2021. The team will have some very difficult decisions to make when it comes to their roster as they have some salary cap issues heading into the offseason. Aaron Rodgers’ future is also up in the air right now.

The restraints they have could cause them to lose some players in free agency that will be able to sign more lucrative deals elsewhere. Difficult decisions to also be made when it comes to possibly releasing some veterans who are not living up to their contracts.

However, the biggest question mark for the team will be quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers just won his second consecutive MVP award but could look to move onto another franchise this offseason.

Rodgers held out for a majority of the offseason last year, hoping to get traded elsewhere. He and the organization were able to work out their differences and had another great regular season in 2021, but fell short once again in the playoffs. Could this be the offseason that Rodgers pushes for a trade, something the franchise will reportedly honor if he asks?

According to PFF Bet, via Bovada, the Packers have a decent chance of keeping Rodgers. The odds are listed at +165 for Rodgers to remain in Green Bay. That means the implied probability is 37.7 percent that he doesn’t leave town this offseason.

Numerous teams around the NFL would love to have Rodgers as their starting quarterback. He would turn plenty of them into instant contenders, as a few teams around the league are just a quarterback away from having a real chance at vying for a Super Bowl next year.

One team to keep an eye on is the Denver Broncos. They hired Packers’ offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett to be their next head coach and he will likely bring more staffers along with him. His connection to Rodgers makes for an obvious landing spot should he look to get traded.

The Carolina Panthers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Washington Commanders and Indianapolis Colts would all make sense as suitors for Rodgers as well.
