Ohio State always seems to suffer a tough loss in the regular season that keeps impacts their chance at the playoffs. They have been selected to the final four just twice in five years since winning the championship in 2014.

In 2016, Ohio State lost in embarrassing fashion to Clemson 31-0. Just last year, they were bounced by the Tigers once again 29-23. In 2020, they will hope to avoid Clemson and pick up a win in the semi-final. Ohio State is a program that is expected to win. Over the years, it has turned into a battle between Alabama and Clemson. Last year was the exception when LSU steamrolled everyone on their way to a 15-0 championship season.

Fields is the caliber of player that can bring Ohio State back to the National Championship. Will they win? That is unknown. It has been difficult enough for the Buckeyes to return to the game let alone win it. The Big Ten has been dominated by Ohio State recently. If they win yet another conference title, they should be selected to the playoff where they will pick up a win.
