3. Become A Starter At Some Point

First up, and most obviously for the talented pass rusher, Rashan Gary should be targeting a starting role this season. With both Preston Smith and Za’Darius Smith on board, that task won’t be an easy one. However, there is a chance he could earn a spot on the defensive line instead of the edge.

Standing in at 6-foot-5 and 277 pounds, Gary could very well become a pass rusher with a hand on the ground. He doesn’t have to come off the edge as an outside linebacker.

There is no question that Gary has the physical ability to play on the line. If the Packers want to stack their pass rush, that could be an ideal situation. Gary has been working hard this offseason and becoming a starter at some point in 2020 would see that hard work pay off big-time.
