Packers: 3 Fantasy Football predictions for TE Jace Sternberger

Much has been made of the Green Bay Packers drafting quarterback Jordan Love, and that they did not take a wide receiver from a deep class at the position. And with the release of Jimmy Graham after two disappointing seasons, 2019 third-round pick Jace Sternberger is lined up to be the team’s No. 1 tight end this year.

Sternberger barely played as a rookie. An ankle injury cost him the first 10 games of the season, and he had one target and zero catches in six regular season games. In two playoff games, he totaled three catches with a touchdown in the NFC Championship Game loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

In 2018, his first season in Green Bay, Graham finished as TE14 in standard fantasy scoring. But other than that, you have to go back to Jermichael Finley to find a Packers’ tight end that was at all notable for fantasy purposes.
