1. A Finish Outside The Top 12 Tight Ends

Sternberger will be on the radar in drafts and auctions for those who like to wait to take a tight end (looking in the mirror as I say that). But early in the season it’s going to be hard to rely on him as anything more than a low-end streaming option. Outside of deeper leagues, he might be waiver wire add-and-dump fodder all season.

The prospect of going back and forth on the waiver wire in most fantasy leagues is not the makings of a top-12, TE1 finish for Sternberger in 2020. That said, he is a someone to consider in dynasty leagues with an eye on a better payoff down the road.
