Packers: 3 reasons Green Bay should sign Taylor Gabriel

In 2019, the Green Bay Packers made the NFC Championship Game with the most balanced team they have had in a long time. One thing that seemed to be a thorn in the team’s side is the lack of talent and production at the wide receiver spot behind Davante Adams.

After Adams, there are options in Allen Lazard, Marquez Valdez-Scantling, and Jake Kumerow, but nobody seemed to step up and take the reigns as the solidified second-string wide receiver. At that point, Green Bay needed to look for help once the season was over.

Brian Gutekunst recognized that and signed veteran wide receiver Devin Funchess to add depth and experience to the unit. There seems to be something missing in the explosiveness checkbox to take Matt LaFleur’s offense to the next level. That explosiveness can lie in signing the speedy wideout Taylor Gabriel.

Gabriel has been on three different teams in the NFL and has had some solid years of playing. There are three different reasons why he has been in the NFL and all three of those reasons connect the dots straight to Green Bay.

Let’s take a look at those three reasons.
