As the Green Bay Packers prepare for the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft, things are getting interesting. The league has announced that the draft will be completely virtual this year. Front office members will work from their own homes and things could be a bit rushed and more unorganized than normal.

However, that doesn’t change the fact that general manager Brian Gutekunst and his team need to nail this draft.

Last season, the Packers finished the year with a 13-3 record and a trip to the NFC Championship Game. They have had a quiet offseason so far, signing just three outside free agents. Christian Kirksey, Rick Wagner, and Devin Funchess are the new additions for the team.

Looking ahead to the draft, the Packers still have a few needs to fill. Gutekunst will have some tough decisions on which positions to target in which round.

All of that being said, let’s take a look at a four-round post free agency mock draft for the Packers.

  1. Why are so many people mocking RBs early? They have 4 on the roster already. Two of them are incredibly efficient, one was a rookie, and one wasn’t even on the team during training camp last year. I know Jones and Williams for FAs after the season, but what are the odds they lose both of them?

    • Pretty good honestly considering we have Clark, Bahktiari, Linsley, and Kevin King all up for extensions next year. I think we will most likely keep Jones but running backs have a short shelf life and it doesn’t hurt to keep the pipelines running.

  2. Although I like Brooks, I’d be curious to know what OT and DT were available, when Brooks and Moss were grabbed.

I’d even look to a 2nd WR or CB before Moss. He’s not athletic and is more of a blocking TE. In a deep draft, I’m looking to get ‘athletes’ with high ceilings, not a blocking backup TE.
