This is a benchmark that the young receiver has yet to flirt with. However, all signs point to him finally being able to do so this season. Adams is the undisputed primary receiver in Green Bay after the departure of Jordy Nelson this past offseason. His targets will need to go somewhere and Adams will be the biggest benefactor.

Since 2008, there 14 Packers receivers who have been targeted more than 100 times and eight that have been targeted more than 120 times. In 2016, Jordy Nelson was targeted 152 times. This is the highest that any receiver has been targeted since 2008.

Since 2016, Adams has posted a catch rate of 62.6 percent. At a catch rate of 62.6 percent, for Adams to accumulate 100 catches, he would have to command about 160 targets. So, historically, it does not seem as though the numbers are in his favor. But, 100 catch seasons don’t come easily and Adams will surely have to earn his.
