The Green Bay Packers are set to open up the 2020 NFL season this Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. Aaron Rodgers is entering an important season, especially following the franchise’s decision to select Jordan Love. Matt LaFleur is ready to get to work in his second season as head coach as well.

While there are some questions still that need to be answered, the Packers should be a very competitive football team. Rodgers is still an elite NFL quarterback and LaFleur is a great young head coach.

Rodgers and LaFleur seemed to hit it off well in their first season working together. Now that they are heading into year two, some might wonder what that relationship looks like. The superstar quarterback himself was happy to speak out on the quarterback-coach relationship.

Obviously, that is music to the ears of fans in Green Bay. After all of the drama surrounding Rodgers and Mike McCarthy, everyone was hoping that LaFleur would come in and vibe well with Rodgers. That has been the case.

LaFleur and Rodgers seemed to communicate well on play calls last season. In some cases, the two would game plan together in a timeout ahead of a crucial play. That is exactly what the Packers need from them.

Heading into year two of LaFleur’s tenure with the Packers, Green Bay needs to focus on being more consistent offensively. There were a lot of bright flashes of brilliance last season, but there were also dead stretches where the Packers struggled to move the football.

Thankfully, the two seem to be on the same page. Rodgers has had a full offseason of learning the system and that will go a long way towards the consistent offense the Packers need. The 2020 season should be much more entertaining.

Expect to see Aaron Rodgers and Matt LaFleur put on a show this season. The Packers are going to be a threat in the NFC and the offense will take a big step forward.
