Green Bay Packers: Studs and Duds from the First Preseason Game

Dud: EDGE Kyler Fackrell

There has been so much promise in his young career with nothing coming to fruition. Yet another one of Packers social media “punching bags,” Fackrell did not do anything to help his case against the Titans.

Nothing has changed in the Fackrell narrative since last year. The coaches obviously see something in the former fourth round pick, but his on-field performance has been severely lacking.

He has been consistently getting overpowered by offensive linemen and even tight ends at the point of attack. Fackrell’s path to the final roster is going to be via special teams and not as a productive EDGE rusher. There are three preseason games left, but Fackrell has a lot of work to do if he’s going to convince anybody he can be an NFL EDGE defender.
