Packers: What to expect from Rashan Gary in 2020

As the Green Bay Packers prepare for the upcoming 2020 NFL season, there are quite a few opinions of what fans should expect. Some believe that the Packers will contend for a Super Bowl appearance once again, while others think they are poised to take a big step back.

This offseason, the Packers stayed away from spending big money in free agency. Instead, they are hoping to see some of their young players take a step forward. One of those young players is Rashan Gary, who the Packers are expecting a big leap from.

During the 2019 season with Green Bay, Gary put together an inconsistent rookie year. He played behind both Preston Smith and Za’Darius Smith, which made it hard to find consistent playing time. When everything was said and done, he only ended up with 21 total tackles, two sacks, and a fumble recovery.

Heading into his second NFL season, Gary is hoping to take a step forward. He still will play behind the “Smith Brothers,” but is hoping to earn himself a bit more playing time.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at what the Packers should be expecting from Rashan Gary in year two.
