The week has finally arrived that fans will see their favorite teams take the field. After a crazy offseason filled with concern surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the Green Bay Packers will open up the 2020 season with a big game against the divisional rival Minnesota Vikings. Aaron Jones will be a major X-Factor for the team in that game.

Aaron Rodgers is the most talked about player on the roster right now, especially with the offseason that the Packers put together. Not only did they not bring in another weapon for him offensively, they traded up in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft to select quarterback Jordan Love.

Despite all of the attention being placed on Rodgers, Jones is going to need to step up for the Packers to win this game. He has had some good games against the Vikings, especially last year. Jones had 154 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in the second matchup between the two teams and 116 yards and a touchdown in the first matchup.

Obviously, those numbers show a favorable matchup for Jones this week. He became a fringe star last season, but a big year this year would put him over the top into the NFL’s elite.

All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at what should be expected from Aaron Jones this week against the Vikings.
