Teddy Bridgewater Knows How To Win Games

Teddy Bridgewater has had a roller coaster of a career. He looked like he was primed to be the future of the Vikings franchise until a devastating knee injury. Many said he would never play again. However, Bridgewater returned as the backup of the New Orleans Saints.

Last season, after an injury to Drew Brees, Bridgewater proved he still has what it takes to lead a team. Teddy went 5-1 as the Saints starter and some even say the offense looked better under Bridgewater than it did under Drew Brees.

Now, Bridgewater gets his chance once more to show he can lead a team. The Panthers signed Bridgewater as their starting Quarterback this offseason. It is a very bold move, but Bridgewater looked very good last season. If Teddy remained the starter, it would have been the best year of his career.

This isn’t surprising, because much of Bridgewater’s early years were behind an extremely run heavy Vikings team with a poor offensive line. The best receiver was rookie Stefon Diggs who was still trying to figure the game out. We saw last season how good Bridgewater could be with weapons.

One statistic that Teddy Bridgewater should be proud of is he has a very good record as a starter. The worst he has done was his rookie season, Bridgewater went 6-6. Since then he went 11-5 and 5-1 as a backup. Teddy knows how to win games, and he is a player that everyone can rally behind. Bridgewater projects as being a very good starting quarterback this season with all of the weapons he has around him.
