2. He Only Throws 10 Interceptions
As is the case with most young quarterbacks stepping into starting roles for the first time, turnovers are going to be a concern. Jarrett Stidham will be no different, but he is going to prove that he can take care of the football all season long.
Being coached by Belichick and McDaniels is a huge advantage for Stidham. Most young quarterbacks don’t have two top-notch coaches to learn from. Stidham also had a full season learning behind Tom Brady.
When everything is said and done, Stidham will only throw 10 interceptions. That isn’t to say that he will be perfect, but he will not force the issue. Stidham will take what the defense gives him.
The Patriots may not end up competing seriously for a Super Bowl, but Stidham is going to show flashes of brilliance when it comes to protecting the football.
