Patriots: 3 early bold predictions for QB Jarrett Stidham in 2020

Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

1. Jarrett Stidham Will Lead The Patriots To A Wild Card Berth

Finally, the Patriots have a main goal of making the playoffs in their first season without Tom Brady. Stidham may not be a guy that many think will end up being a long-term franchise quarterback for New England, but he is ready to prove those doubters wrong.

In his first season as the team’s starting quarterback, Stidham will lead the Patriots to the playoffs. They aren’t going to win the AFC East, but they will earn a Wild Card berth. More than likely, the Buffalo Bills will end up taking the division.

Even without a division title, the Patriots are going to be pleasantly surprised by their new quarterback. He may not throw for 4,000 yards and 35 touchdowns, but he is going to put up solid statistics.

Stidham will earn himself at least one more season as the starting quarterback. He might actually play well enough to convince the Patriots to build around him a bit more next offseason.
