Marvin Jones, Detroit Lions
If the Patriots want to make a low-cost move at the wide receiver position, Marvin Jones could be an ideal fit.
Granted, Jones isn’t going to come in and be a No. 1 option. However, he has proven himself to be a very solid role player over the years. Detroit might be open to dealing him, especially if they can net a fifth-round pick in return for him.
Last season with the Lions, Jones played in 13 games. He caught 62 passes for 779 yards and nine touchdowns. Those numbers would look good in the New England offense.
Newton needs more weapons and adding Jones would be a nice way to start. He could come in and play as a No. 2 or No. 3 wideout and be very productive.
