Finally, there is one blockbuster move that the Patriots should do everything they can to make happen. That move would be acquiring star wideout Keenan Allen from the Chargers.

Allen is one of the most underrated wide receivers in the entire NFL. It would not be cheap for the Patriots to trade for him. More than likely, it would take at least a first-round draft pick.

While he wouldn’t come cheap, Allen produces big numbers consistently. He caught 104 passes for 1,199 yards and six touchdowns last season. So why would the Chargers be interested in moving him? He will be playing the final season of his contract in 2020.

Los Angeles has always had trouble paying big money to keep their star players. Simply take a look at running back Melvin Gordon, who left town to sign with the division rival Denver Broncos. Allen may not be available, but Belichick should absolutely give the Chargers a call.
